Additional Fees and Payment Policies

We do our best not to charge additional fees.

This includes crawlspaces, sprinkler systems, the age of the home, and more. Added fees may apply to finished basements, mansions, and additional buildings with utilities.

Our Weekend / Holiday Policy

  • We charge a $50 fee for inspections that occur on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday (see our contact page for a list of holidays when we are closed).

Our Travel Policy

  • The first 60-mile round-trip is completely complimentary to our clients.

  • We charge a reasonable travel fee of $1.00 per mile past the 60 complimentary miles.

Our Payment Policy

  • Payment is due before or at the time of service.

  • We do not offer defer to closing payment options.

  • Inspection reports are released after funds are secured.

Our Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy

  • If an inspection is canceled or rescheduled for any reason within 24 hours of the inspection start time, we invoice for $150.00. Thank you for understanding!

How to Pay for Your Home Inspection

Payments are made within your home inspection portal. Once the home inspection is confirmed within our system, you’ll receive a link to the portal where you’ll find a list of tasks to complete. You’ll have the option to make a payment via credit card or bank transfer.

CMIs must have completed 1,000 fee-paid inspections and/or hours of education (combined); have been in the inspection business for at least three years; agree to abide by the inspection industry’s toughest Code of Ethics; and agree to periodic criminal background checks.

 

  • A Buyer Home Inspection reports on the overall status of your future home and its possible defects. We will deliver a detailed and easy-to-decipher report to the home buyer before noon the following business day.

  • A sewer scope inspection is a camera-led scoping of the lateral sewer line only. The scope will begin at the house and navigate via a long cable line to the end of the lateral sewer line. A sewer scope inspection does NOT include scoping of all of the plumbing throughout the home.

  • We will inspect for termites and other wood destroying insects, but we do not provide a plan of treatment or treatment, itself. Our goal is to provide a convenient and unbiased termite inspection.
